Alaska Airlines Transfers Some West Coast Flights to SkyWest

ALASKA AIRLINES is to transfer some selected services on the US West Coast from subsidiary Horizon Air to SkyWest Airlines with effect from 14MAY11. These will be operated by Bombardier CRJ900s under Alaska's 'AS' code. The transition is part of Alaska Airlines Group’s decision to rationalise Horizon Air’s fleet around the Dash 8-Q400 turboprop and to phase out its brand in the public domain.
