Sun Group and Changi Airports International have expanded their strategic partnership to support the development and operation of airports across Vietnam. The agreement broadens the companies' existing collaboration at Phu Quoc International Airport into a framework covering airport master planning, design optimization, construction advisory, pre-opening preparation, operations and maintenance. It will also support the development of aviation services across Sun Group's airport portfolio. Sun Group has investments in Van Don International Airport, Phu Quoc International Airport and Phan Thiet Civil Airport, which is under development.

The Airports Authority of India has opened a new terminal at Jodhpur Airport, increasing capacity at the gateway to Rajasthan's "Blue City" and supporting the region's tourism and economic growth. Built at a cost of IND4.8 billion ($50.3 million), the 23,342-m² (251,251-ft.2) terminal is designed to handle 1,500 passengers during peak hours and 2 million passengers annually. The facility features 20 check-in counters, six jet bridges, advanced baggage handling and security systems, and an apron capable of accommodating 11 Airbus A321 aircraft and one ATR 72 turboprop. The terminal inauguration coincided with the launch of the next phase of India's UDAN regional connectivity scheme, which includes about IND290 billion of investment over the next decade to expand regional aviation infrastructure, develop 100 additional aerodromes and support regional air services.

Leviatan Design has been awarded the design contract for the first phase of the expansion of Bucharest’s Henri Coanda International Airport. The contract, valued at approximately $23 million, covers the design of a new 176,000-m² passenger terminal as part of an expansion intended to accommodate projected traffic of 30 million passengers annually by 2040. Plans also include at least 48 new aircraft stands, 20 passenger boarding bridges, new taxiways, modern baggage handling systems and integrated road and rail connections. The design phase is scheduled to last two years.

Auckland Airport has released its finalized masterplan, outlining how New Zealand's largest gateway could expand through the late 2040s. The plan forecasts passenger traffic growing from almost 19 million annually to about 38 million. Key proposals include an integrated domestic and international terminal, enhanced regional operations, a consolidated cargo precinct, improved surface transport links and infrastructure designed to accommodate future aviation technology and lower-emission transport. The airport says capacity growth will initially be driven through operational improvements, technology upgrades and more efficient use of the current airfield.

Costa Rica’s Juan Santamaria International Airport has begun construction on the first phase of its northern terminal expansion, a project designed to increase departure capacity and improve passenger processing as part of the airport's 2023-42 masterplan. The project will add and refurbish a total of 2,430 m², focusing on expanding security screening and immigration facilities while preparing the terminal for future technologies such as automated e-gates. The expansion is intended to reduce congestion during peak periods, improve passenger flows and support continued growth in air traffic.

Mitteldeutsche Flughafen has completed its financial restructuring around six months ahead of schedule, marking a turnaround for the operator of Leipzig/Halle Airport and Dresden Airport. The restructuring, originally due to conclude at the end of 2026, was completed on July 3 following approval from financing partners and a final validation by KPMG. The company says it will now shift its focus from restructuring to transformation, targeting new growth opportunities, commercial development and long-term competitiveness across its airport portfolio. Plans under consideration include a new, smaller terminal in Dresden and more efficient passenger and baggage handling processes.
