Air Mauritius and Hong Kong Airlines entered a codeshare agreement today to provide travellers with enhanced opportunities to Mauritius.
Under the codeshare, Hong Kong Airlines will place its “HX” code on Air Mauritius’ twice-weekly direct flights between Hong Kong and Mauritius.
“The development of Asian routes is key to our network strategy. Destinations like Hong Kong have grown to become important for our network as it gives access to China and other East Asian destinations. We trust that both airlines will fully benefit from the new prospects offered by this collaboration. We will continue to work together and explore other avenues for strengthening this cooperation.” stated the Air Mauritius Chairman, Dr Arjoon Suddhoo.
Mr. Li Dianchun, Commercial Director of Hong Kong Airlines, said: “We are extremely delighted to partner with Air Mauritius. This agreement enables us to maximize the travel opportunities offered to passengers as our network further expands across continents to the Indian Ocean.”
