LE BOURGET—Taiwanese carrier Starlux Airlines has once again topped up its orderbook for Airbus models, committing to a further 10 A350-1000s as it looks to serve routes to the U.S. East Coast and its first destination in Europe.

The additional Airbus widebodies take its total commitments for the A350-1000 to 18 with the first aircraft from its earlier order scheduled to be delivered later this year, said Starlux CEO Glenn Chai at the Paris Air Show.

The carrier will take delivery of a further five A350-1000s in 2026 with another two in 2027. The fresh batch of A350-1000s will be delivered from 2031.

Today, Starlux operates an all-Airbus fleet comprising 10 A350-900s, five A330-900neos and 13 A321neos. It also has 10 A350F freighters on order.

While 40% of its capacity is deployed on its popular Japanese services from Taiwan, Starlux will target new destinations in the U.S. and Europe for the long-range A350-1000s, Chai said.

In early 2026, it will begin operations to Phoenix, which will be its fifth city in the U.S., he noted.

Starlux is also aiming to launch its first route to Europe next year and is working through the necessary approvals with European authorities, Chai said, although he declined to reveal the destination.
