Air France extended its La Premiere service to flights between Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and San Francisco International (SFO) airports, marking the seventh CDG-U.S. route on which the new first class product is being offered.
La Premiere—unveiled by the airline last year as its “highest-point” premium product—is now available on 19 Air France Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, including one flown daily on the CDG-SFO route. The airline is also operating a second daily flight between CDG and SFO with an Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
The La Premiere service includes both onboard suites and what the airline describes as a “fully privatized and confidential airport experience.”
The 19 777-300ERs are equipped with four La Premiere suites, each of which has five windows, a seat and chaise lounge that converts into a 2-m (6.5-ft.) bed. “Each of the four suites on board is enclosed by a thick mesh curtain extending from floor to ceiling, providing complete privacy,” Air France said. Also included are two 32-in. screens, Wi-Fi and high-end food and beverage service.
The airline said La Premiere passengers at SFO go to a dedicated check-in area where they receive “personalized assistance,” including baggage handling. They are then ushered through security and taken to a designated area within the Air France lounge featuring its own dining service. Passengers are finally “personally escorted to the aircraft,” the carrier said.
In addition to SFO, Air France offers La Premiere service to U.S. airports Atlanta, Houston Intercontinental, Los Angeles, Miami, New York John F. Kennedy and Washington Dulles.
Globally, La Premiere is now available to passengers on select 777-300ERs on 13 routes from CDG, including service to Sao Paulo, Singapore and Tokyo Haneda airports.
La Premiere passengers departing from CDG are greeted by a porter “who immediately takes care of their baggage” and escorts them to a private check-in lobby and exclusive lounge, according to Air France. Passengers are then guided to departing aircraft “via private transfers in Porsche Cayenne hybrid vehicles operating in electric mode.”
Arriving CDG passengers are taken to a private lobby “where they can dine, shower and retrieve their checked baggage” and have access to an exclusive lounge “with a gourmet dining area” and relaxation and work spaces.
The airline has previously said it aims to attract passengers to La Premiere who normally travel in private business jets.
