Bombardier is pressing to deliver 30 CSeries aircraft this year, but acknowledged it will be difficult to meet the low end of its previously announced target of 30-35 CSeries deliveries in 2017.

Members of the US Congress from Connecticut have cautioned senior Trump administration officials that any action against Canada or Bombardier regarding alleged CSeries subsidies could have negative consequences on US aerospace workers, particularly at Pratt & Whitney.

European aircraft manufacturer Airbus opened an A330 Completion and Delivery Center in Tianjin, China, to strengthen its expansion and strategic partnership with China. The first aircraft, an Airbus A330-200, was delivered to Tianjin Airlines, the carrier’s fourth of the type.

Boeing forecasts the Southeast Asia region will require 4,210 new aircraft through 2036, worth a market value of approximately $645 billion, according to the US manufacturer’s Southeast Asia Current Market Outlook released Sept 21.

Turkish Airlines said it intends to order 40 Boeing 787-9 aircraft. When finalized, the order would be worth nearly $11 billion at list prices.
