Leisure travel group Thomas Cook has increased its 2018 summer capacity by 10% through its acquisition of Airberlin Aviation, an affiliate of bankrupt airberlin, and has established Thomas Cook Airlines Balearics, which is based in Palma de Mallorca, Spain.

Airbus has confirmed that the first A350-1000 for launch customer Qatar Airways will be delivered Feb. 20.

Lufthansa Group unveiled a new branding Feb. 7 on a Boeing 747-8. The new, modernized brand image drops the gray from the underside and engines as well as the yellow circle behind the company’s 100-year-old crane logo on the tail for a purely blue-and-white exterior.
