AerCap Holdings said it signed 13 new aircraft lease agreements and delivered eight aircraft in the 2010 fourth quarter. Lease agreements inked during the period include three Airbus A319s for Frontier Airlines, two A320s for Brussels Airlines, an A320 for Donbassaerom, an A320 and an A319 for LAN Airlines, an A320 for P.T. Metro Batavia, a Boeing 757-200 for Delta Air Lines, a 737-400 for Vision Airlines, a 737-800 for Orenair and a 737-400 for Nok Air.

Boeing on Monday began final assembly on the 1,000th 767, a 767-300ER for ANA. ANA has taken delivery of 89 767s. GECAS delivered one new Boeing 737-800 to China United Airlines and one new Airbus A320 to Saudi Arabian Airlines, the twelfth of 15 A320s it has leased to the carrier.

Spirit AeroSystems announced it reached an agreement with Boeing regarding "certain claims associated with" the development and production of the 787-8. Neither company disclosed the precise nature of the claims, though they are believed to be related to the 787 program's continuing delays. Spirit AeroSystems designs and builds the 787's composite forward fuselage, engine pylons and wing leading edge components. Under terms of the agreement, the parties will complete formal amendments to their work agreement in the first half of 2011.

Boeing is sticking to its expectation that it will be able to announce a revised timetable for 787 certification and first delivery sometime this month, Boeing Commercial Airplanes President and CEO Jim Albaugh said Wednesday in Washington.

Skytech-AIC announced the lease of two Maersk-owned Bombardier CRJ700s to South African Express. One has been delivered and the second is expected to enter service in February. Aeronautical Engineers was selected by an undisclosed customer to provide one Boeing 737-300SF 9 Pallet Configuration Passenger-to-Freighter Conversion. Aircraft is undergoing modification at AEI's Miami facility.

Embraer on Monday finalized the sale of 10 E-190s to China's CDB Leasing Co., which signed an MOU for the order in December 2009. The jets will be operated by China Southern Airlines and will be used to develop new markets, Embraer said. The first delivery is expected in the second half of 2011.

Iranian officials investigating Sunday's crash of an Iran Air Boeing 727 near Orumiyeh said they have recovered the aircraft's flight data recorder and are attempting to determine why the aircraft went down about 5 mi. from its destination airport, killing 77 of 104 passengers and crew aboard.

A J Walter Aviation on Friday announced an expansion of its commercial jet engine management business, adding in-house commercial aircraft engine management to its portfolio. It currently offers the supply, exchange, repair and lease of commercial aircraft spare parts.
