Arkia Israeli Airline has signed a purchase agreement for four Airbus A321neos.

Russian Ilyushin Finance leasing company (IFC) has placed a firm order with Czech Aircraft Industries for 10 L-410 UVP E-20s plus three options.

Air Lease Corp. (ALC) announced the first firm order by a leasing company for Boeing’s 737 MAX range, inking a contract for 60 737 MAX 8 and 15 MAX 9, as well as taking reconfirmation rights on a further 25 examples across the MAX range.

Embraer announced an order from China’s Hebei Airlines for five E-190s, a deal valued at $226 million at list prices.

Airbus is stepping up the payload-range of its A330 family, starting with the A330-300, which will be available with a 240 metric tonne maximum take-off weight (MTOW) from mid-2015.

Rockwell Collins has unveiled flight deck technologies jointly developed with Boeing for retrofit on Boeing 767 and 757 aircraft, technologies it said were “inspired by flight deck improvements offered on the Boeing 787.”

Boeing will add seven inches of space to its 737NG with an improvement unveiled in 2014, it told journalists at a pre-Farnborough briefing in Seattle, Wash.

Boeing will open a third production line at its Renton, Wash. factory, adding to the two main lines in operation, for its MAX production.
