Boeing has completed the contractual delivery of the first 787 Dreamliner to launch customer All Nippon Airways. Flyaway of the airplane to Tokyo is scheduled Tuesday morning from Paine Field in Everett, Washington state.

ILFC has agreed to purchase and leaseback five new Boeing 737-800s to Virgin Australia, scheduled to be delivered in 2012 and 2013. A J Walter Aviation has agreed to acquire four Boeing 737-300s from Pembroke Capital Aircraft (Shannon) Ltd. for part out. The aircraft were last operated by Germania.

Pratt & Whitney (P&W) said the PW1524G geared turbofan engine completed its initial flight test program at P&W Canada's Mirabel Aerospace Center in Quebec, logging a total of 25 flights and 115 flight hr. aboard a flying test bed Boeing 747.
