Air Canada to spend $18 million to install enhanced ground proximity warning systems in its fleet

Air Canada said it will spend $18 million to install enhanced ground proximity warning systems in its fleet, receiving first deliveries this year. The systems will be required on U.S. carriers' aircraft by 2003, but Canada does not have a similar requirement.
