SAA wins two awards at WTA in the Seychelles

South African Airways (SAA), has clinched two awards at the World Travel Awards, where it was named Africa's Leading Airline for 21 years in row over the weekend at the event in the Seychelles.

Besides the award as Africa’s Leading Airline, SAA’s inflight magazine, Sawubona was awarded as Africa’s leading in-flight magazine.

SAA’s low-cost carrier, Mango, was named Africa’s Leading Low-Cost Airline.

World Travel Awards is voted for by travel and tourism professionals worldwide, with awards presented this year at a gala ceremony at the Kempinski Seychelles Resort.

“These awards add to the recent slew of other awards we’ve received and recognises that South African Airways is committed to excellence,” says Nico Bezuidenhout, SAA Acting CEO.

Ingrid Wood, editor of Sawubona, a high-end, glossy publication said on receiving the award: “We are super thrilled with this accolade which we dedicate to the creative and hard-working teams at Ndalo Media and SAA Group Corporate Affairs responsible for putting the magazine together.”
