Italians woo Turkey and Middle East for new trade fair this year

Representatives from the embassies of the UAE and Turkey have met with Italian officials to discuss a new aerospace trade fair called Italy Aerospace Expo.


Seventy individuals were present representing fifty companies, organizations and embassies, among which were representatives of the embassies of Turkey and the United Arab Emirates, the Italian Ministry for Manufacturing, the Italian National Institute for foreign trade (ICE), as well as directors from the Italian Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC) and the Italian Organization for Air Navigation Services (ENAV), the organizations sponsoring the event.

There were representatives present from Confindustria (the Italian Confederation of Industry) and the "exceptional" Meta districts of the Lazio and Campania regions.

The event took place at the premises of T-Consulting in Rome surrounded by the Imperial Fora, one of the most suggestive images of Ancient Rome.

During the event the Fiera Roma President, Roberto Bosi presented plans for the development of the great trade fair district in the capital, highlighting the importance of this exhibition in relation to the role which Rome will play in welcoming over 15 foreign delegations invited to visit the exhibition.

Gianni Sebastiani, Chair of the exhibition's Scientific Committee and executive partner of T-Consulting underlined the role which airport infrastructures will have in the future development of Italy announcing a Framework Convention which will deal with important subjects ranging from flight safety and competition between airlines, right up to the presentation of new models for the airports of the future.

ITALY AIRSPACE EXPO

The exhibition organized by Fiera Roma will take place between 30 November and 2 December this year and will present the five areas of industry linked to the world of air, civil, military and business transport, for the first time in Italy.

Within these areas the exhibition will present various sectors:

  • from equipment to means of transport used in airports;
  • the aeronautical engineering sectors, such as research into components, instruments and aircraft;
  • industrial sectors linked to civil and military helicopters;
  • a large area will be set aside for the Defence sector, covering both air and land defence;
  • the exhibition will also display the latest innovations in Industry and Aerospace research.

There are more than 1,000 Italian companies operating in the product sectors in the exhibition
