Chapman Freeborn delivers aid to Pakistan in response to floods

Chapman Freeborn Airchartering has airlifted an initial 800 tons of relief cargo into Pakistan on behalf of governments and international aid agencies after severe monsoon rains triggered a humanitarian disaster in the South Asian country.

According to the United Nations, the region has been affected by the worst floods in 80 years that has affected over 14 million people and killed 1,600.

Aid agencies are warning that there are still large numbers at risk of malnutrition and disease as polluted waters continue to spread.

Chapman Freeborn’s worldwide offices have responded immediately to urgent aid agency requests - utilising IL-76, IL-96, AN-12, A300, B777 and B747 freighters to deliver emergency aid supplies including shelters, drinking water, food, medical supplies and relief vehicles.

The global aircraft charter specialist has routed 14 separate flights into Karachi (KHI), Peshawar (PEW), Islamabad (ISB), Multan (MUX) and Suk kur (SKZ) from various airports in Europe, the Middle East and Africa .

Emergency relief representatives from aid agencies were on ground at location to ensure a prompt distribution of supplies and relief materials to the worst hit areas.
