Aviation Week Extends ILA Berlin Partnership For 2028

Aviation Week and ILA Berlin Aerospace Show have renewed their partnership for the next gathering of the event.

Under the handshake agreement at ILA this year, the Informa-business will be the exclusive media partner for the ILA Berlin Aerospace Show scheduled for May 17-21, 2028.

The two sides came together on the closing trade-day of this year’s ILA gathering, during which Aviation Week exclusively published three issues of its on-site Show Business, with editorial and data content also on Aviationweek.com, the company’s AWIN premium service, and its flagship Aviation Week & Space Technology magazine.

The show traces its history back to 1909, where the star of the Frankfurt exhibition was an airplane built by the Wright brothers, which was brought for a week from display flights in Berlin.

This year’s gathering, which German chancellor Friedrich Merz formally kicked off on June 10, saw a jump in exhibitors and attendees from when the original partnership with Aviation Week was signed. This year’s event counted more than 750 exhibitors from 37 countries, the organizer said, while expecting over 100,000 visitors.
