AIRBUS forecasts 20-year demand for 42,450 new pax/970 new freighter aircraft (34,250 single-aisle; 18,930 for replacement) to increase global fleet from 24,730 to 49,210 aircraft by end 2044, to satisfy 3.6% annual pax traffic growth.

Steve Costley is responsible for the overall production SpeedNews. Steve has over 30 years of experience with SpeedNews, now part of the Aviation Week Network.
