THIS WEEK IN AVIATION HISTORY
Feb. 23 -- Douglas Aircraft is studying two designs for the proposed DC-10 jumbo jet, the DC-950 and DC-952, both able to carry about 550 passengers.
Feb. 20 -- President Reagan's proposal for a 9% ticket tax and a 20% fuel tax on GA, is opposed by House aviation subcommittee Chairman Norman Mineta, who called the GA tax "absurd."
