India is to increase its regional airport network significantly as it seeks to bring flying within the reach of more of its 1.4 billion population.

Embraer is optimistic about securing additional orders in the Asia-Pacific region before the end of 2025, potentially selling E2s into India for the first time.

The Indian carrier plans to add 66 new flights across its domestic network, including additional services on existing routes.

The two carriers are set to introduce more than 20 new routes in India over the coming months.
