Despite being affected by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, SVP of network Wolfgang Reuss believes airBaltic is on track to top 3 million passenger this year.

The airline is starting flights from its first aircraft base outside of the Balkans.

The decision to launch services from Tampere sees the carrier expand beyond the Baltic states of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia for the first time.

Eight routes are being launched from Finland’s capital during the winter 2021/22 season.
