The Somali government will relaunch Somali Airlines some three and a half decades after the flag carrier halted operations during the country's civil war.

All of Somalia’s airlines have suspended domestic and international flights indefinitely, allegedly in a row with the country’s government over increased taxes.

Airline pilots have been warned about conflicting ATC instructions from rival controllers when overflying parts of Somalia, in the Horn of Africa.

Mogadishu and Hargeisa are the main international gateways to Somalia, with Ethiopian Airlines the biggest airline in the country’s market.
