North Macedonia’s government has signed a contract with Italy’s Leonardo to purchase a fleet of new transport helicopters for the country’s military.

North Macedonia’s defense ministry has selected Leonardo’s AW169 and AW149 to meet national requirements for a new fleet of multirole helicopters.

Three routes are being added from Skopje and one from Ohrid.

After growing capacity by 8% in 2019, Serbia’s national air carrier is launching six new routes in 2020.
