Viva Aerobus is launching new Florida and Texas connections from Mérida and Querétaro.

The planned base in Mérida has been described as a “turning point” for connectivity in Mexico’s Yucatan state.

Competition at Felipe Angeles International is starting to heat up as Volaris responds to the expansion plans of Aeromexico and Viva Aerobus.

Flights between Mérida, Mexico and Oakland, California will operate four times per week.
