Long Island MacArthur Airport

After JetBlue Airways dropped plans to fly between Islip, New York, and Boston Logan, regional carrier Cape Air has unveiled it will operate the route.

JetBlue Airways is set to launch flights from New York’s Long Island MacArthur Airport in October and has received approval to codeshare with British Airways.

The startup will connect the secondary New York City airport to US west coast cities with Airbus A220-300s.

The carrier will launch flights from the airports in New York and Florida in February.

The ULCC is expanding in South Florida with a focus on rival Spirit’s home airport.

Frontier is adding three US domestic services and increasing frequencies on seven other popular leisure routes.
