Swiss regional airline Helvetic Airways is adding four Embraer E195-E1s on long-term lease from Azorra, taking its total fleet to 22 aircraft.

Swiss cannot reduce the number of wet-leased aircraft it planned to operate in summer 2024 and must invest further to increase punctuality.

The Swiss regional has leased two E190-E1s from TrueNoord, which will act as a strategic reserve, as well as providing backup capacity.
