Contour Airlines

SkyWest Airlines has acquired a 25% ownership stake in Part 135 carrier Contour Airlines for $25 million.

The routes will feed traffic into the hubs of American Airlines, which Contour interlines with.

The carrier will begin serving the Indiana airport in October after delaying its intended launch plans for more than a year.

Contour plans to begin operation from IND on June 10, 2020 and will serve market with its fleet of 30-seat ERJ-135/145s.

American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, United Airlines, JetBlue, Spirit and a host of other carriers are taking part.

The event designed for the North American marketplace is attracting leading US airlines.
