Southwest Airlines will launch daily flights into Northern Kentucky International Airport from Chicago Midway and Baltimore Washington International from June 4, 2017. The no-frills operator has been keeping a close eye on the Cincinnati market since Delta Air Lines started to downsize its own operations from the city.
Allegiant Air’s low-cost business model has allowed it to grow from one aircraft and one route 16 years ago, to offering access to low-cost, non-stop travel over 100 communities nationwide, more than any other domestic low-cost carrier. The airline operation is complement by the Allegiant Travel proposition that offers holiday packages alongside the flight options.
Allegiant Air will introduce flights between New Orleans and Cincinnati’s Northern Kentucky International Airport from February 4, 2015 and Rickenbacker International Airport in Columbus, Indianapolis International Airport and Orlando’s Sanford International Airport from February 5, 2015.
Already serving both Washington Reagan National and Baltimore Washington International airports, the carrier will launch 68 weekly flights to 14 destinations from Dulles International Airport from August this year.
