The Scandinavian country’s exiting air passenger tax looks set to be overhauled.

Subsidized routes, ADP taxes and London slots are all addressed in the new report from the Union Connectivity Review.

The ULCC will resume UK domestic service in December after a hiatus of almost a year.

The airline will pull out of Belfast City and Belfast International ahead of the winter season.

A more lenient tax regime will encourage airlines to create new routes, bringing in additional revenue to the country’s airport infrastructure and tourism supply chain.

Scotland’s largest airports made a joint submission yesterday (28th October 2014) to the Smith Commission calling for Air Passenger Duty (APD) to be devolved to the Scottish Parliament.
