The fallout from COVID-19 coronavirus is set to complicate the long-haul LCC's financial situation after losses widened in fiscal 2019.

Virgin Atlantic is opening a new long-haul route from Manchester later this year, connecting the UK airport with the Indian capital.

Iran Air has voluntarily suspended two Airbus A330s and one A321 from EU airspace, EASA confirmed Feb. 19, following media reports that the European aviation safety body had banned the aircraft because they were lacking necessary updates.

Airbus plans to cut the A330 production rate and stabilize the A350, in an acknowledgement of weak demand for widebody aircraft.

A new Premium and Economy service is being introduced by Thomas Cook, on their Airbus A330 long-haul fleet in time for next summer.
