DASSAULT AVIATION AIRPLANES [Docket No. FAA-2019-0973; Product Identifier 2019-NM-187-AD; Amendment 39-19811; AD 2019-23-17] The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Dassault Aviation Model Falcon 900EX and Model Falcon 2000EX airplanes. This AD was prompted by reports of iced angle-of-attack (AoA) probes after takeoff, with associated misleading airspeed indication and/or misleading stall warning. This AD requires revising the existing airplane flight manual (AFM) to provide the flight crew with updated procedures related to manually activating heating of the AoA probes during line up, as specified in a European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) AD, which is incorporated by reference. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products. This AD becomes effective Dec. 27. The FAA estimates that this AD affects 146 airplanes of U.S. registry with an estimated cost of compliance of $85 per aircraft and $12.41 for the fleet. For more information, contact Tom Rodriguez, Aerospace Engineer, International Section, Transport Standards Branch, FAA, 2200 South 216th St., Des Moines, Washington, 98198; telephone and fax 206-231-3226.
