AMERICAN has launched/announced >50 new routes through summer 2024, including eight new cities: Copenhagen; Tijuana; Naples, Italy; Ocho Rios, Jamaica; Nice, France; Pasco, WA; Governor's Harbour, Bahamas; and Hyannis, MA.
JETBLUE had $153m net loss on $2.4b revenues in 3Q23 vs $57m net profit on $2.6b in 3Q22, citing significant weather-related impacts and rising fuel prices ($2.94/gal). It says industry capacity is outpacing domestic demand (off-peak).
Separately, JetBlue reported a Q3 net loss of $153 million, citing several challenges including the wind-down of its Northeast Alliance with American Airlines.
While Sweden’s Braathens Regional Airlines recently went into administration, the airline’s operations will continue as normal throughout the restructuring.
The ACI framework will give airports guidance to implement, review and monitor environmental, social and corporate governance standards within their operations.
