ST Engineering Aerospace (HuBei) Aviation Services has opened the first of two planned airframe maintenance facilities in Ezhou, China.

IATA says there are no operational concerns flagged by member carriers transiting Russian airspace, following a close call with two Chinese-operated aircraft.

Etihad Airways and China’s SF Airlines agreed to form a joint air cargo business under which they will integrate airfreight services and offerings.

Recent maintenance deals and aircraft orders for Boeing 747 freighters signal continued demand for services.

“We are looking forward to supporting SF Airlines to expand their cross-border product in Southeast Asia,” Teleport CEO Pete Chareonwongsak says.

The carrier says it is using a 777-200 freighter on the route.

Etihad launched 2X-weekly freighter flights between Abu Dhabi Airport (AUH) and Wuhan Tianhe International Airport (WUH) in April.
