Sweden’s capital Stockholm will join the LCC’s network from next March.

The Hungarian carrier will open 12 new routes from the southern European country.

Bilbao, Lisbon and Verona are among the new destinations set to launch this summer.

SAS is adding six destinations to its network in summer 2019 along with 17 new routes from Scandinavia.

This week: Cathay Pacific to add tenth destination in North America; Qatar Airways increases Scandinavian focus; and Vietjet set for second link to Japan.

bmi regional believes consumers are now looking for new experiences in more familiar regions and to meet this demand will introduce flights from Birmingham to Graz, Austria; Nuremburg, Germany; and resume a former link to Gothenburg, Sweden.
