The U.S. Air Force has activated the unit that will train helicopter pilots for its future fleet of Boeing MH-139 Grey Wolfs starting in the next 18 months.
The service in its upcoming fiscal 2026 budget request, to be released next year, will increase the MG-139 program of record to at least 56 helicopters.
Boeing has delivered four of the six aircraft ordered under the research, development, test and evaluation contract, with two more set to come this summer.
