The White House and the DOD have ordered separate reviews following Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s decision to not immediately disclose his hospitalization.
“I recognize I could have done a better job ensuring the public was appropriately informed. I commit to doing better,” Austin said in a Jan. 6 statement.
