The route is expected to be popular with Belfast’s business passengers and is expected to generate 50,000 departing passengers per year. Belfast has a well-established Business and Financial Services sector, and business customers will be able to reach the city’s business district 10 minutes after leaving the airport due to the location of George Best Belfast City Airport.
The new services to Heathrow Airport will bring the number of daily rotations on this route to up to five and will end the monopoly currently held by the oneworld alliance.

The fifth new route to Denver will come online from June 5, 2015 and will be flown on a five times daily basis by Compass Airlines under the Delta Connection brand.

easyJet launched flights from Belfast in September 1998 and currently operates a network of seasonal and year-round routes from Belfast to 24 different destinations.
