Hensoldt's SkyBarrier.
PARIS—Hensoldt says it is offering a mobile jammer for satellite-based navigation signals with an eye on critical infrastructure protection.
The company says its SkyBarrier mobile jammer would be capable of disrupting GPS signals, as well as the Russian Glonass, European Galileo and the Chinese BeiDou global navigation satellite systems. SkyBarrier could thwart both civil and encrypted military signals, the company said at the Eurosatory defense expo here.
The system—which includes a portable electronic unit, an extendable telescopic mast and some related items—requires two operators to set up the equipment, which should be doable in a few minutes, Hensoldt says.
The German defense electronics company says the system can be retrofitted for new signals by replacing select components.
