October 18, 2022
Venue For MRO Europe 2022
A lot of prep goes on behind the scenes of any aviation show and exhibition. Contractors come in and build the exhibition stands and booths and when the show ends, they return and unravel their creations.
Carpet is cut and made to fit the exhibitor's stands as well as pathways around the show floor. This gallery shows the work that went on before MRO Europe opened up to delegates.
A board of MRO Europe sponsors is seen at the entrance to the ExCel exhibition center.
Show floor preparations in full swing.
Stacks of wooden boxes yet to be unloaded.
A solitary ladder standing next to the publications board.
The show officially opened on Tuesday Oct. 18, 2022 and while the exhibition hall was being prepared, a panel discussion was held upstairs in London's ExCel Platinum Rooms.
James Pozzi, MRO Editor, EMEA, Aviation Week Network, moderated a panel discussion entitled the Unpopular Opinion Panel. The panelists Pietro Pascale, Managing Director, Atitech, Krzysztof Krolak, SVP Technical Operations, LOT Airlines and Kata Cserep, Global MD Aviation, Travel and Tourism, ICF, discussed inflation, labour shortages among other things.
MRO Europe attendees were not allowed into the exhibition hall while the stands were being built but they were able to get involved in the panel discussion.
Trolleys, recycling bins, ladders and ropes scattered around.
Some exhibitor stands took shape quicker than others.
