Boeing Signs Landing Gear, Distribution Agreements

Boeing signed several agreements at MRO Americas, including a new contract with Virgin Atlantic to provide 17 fully overhauled and certified landing gear assemblies starting in 2026. The OEM also signed distribution agreements with Aviatema Equipment covering inflatable maintenance shelters, with Honeywell Aerospace Technologies covering its Honeywell Connected Recorder 25 cockpit voice recorder, and with ExxonMobil covering its line of aviation lubricant products.

Satair signed a strategic supply agreement with HAECO Group focused on the supply of expendables for all of the MRO’s operating companies. According to Satair, the partnership is designed to streamline and improve reliability of HAECO’s supply chain, reduce costs and mitigate AOG risks.

Satair also signed several new distribution agreements. It extended its agreement with Collins Aerospace to distribute cabin interior parts by another four years. Satair also signed an agreement to expand its distribution of Eaton’s crew oxygen supply systems for Boeing platforms and a multi-year distribution agreement with Champion Aerospace covering igniters, exciters and ignition leads.

AJW Group Signs Air Transat, Inter-Tec Deals

AJW Group was awarded a long-term power-by-the-hour support program contract with Air Transat for its fleet for Airbus A321ceo and A320neo family aircraft. The contract includes the provision of component repairs from AJW Group subsidiary AJW Technique.

AJW Group also announced a partnership with Ireland-based design and engineering consultancy Inter-Tec Aero to partner on projects requiring Part 21J services, including for avionics and electrical systems, structures, cabin interiors and structural repair solutions.

HAECO Americas Starts Drone Inspection Trials

HAECO Group announced that it has launched drone-assisted aircraft inspection trials at its facilities in the U.S. It is partnered with drone inspection provider Donecle and began using the technology in Xiamen in 2018. HAECO Americas CEO Todd Navin told Aviation Week Network that the company plans to expand capabilities through integration of computer vision technology, which will enable automated analysis of inspection data. 

DASI/BAE Systems contract signing

DASI, BAE Systems Partner On Electronics Distribution

Aircraft inventory solutions provider DASI entered a strategic agreement with BAE Systems covering enhanced distribution of commercial aircraft electronics for Airbus and Boeing platforms. Under the initial three-year deal, BAE Systems will supply more than 3,000 individual part numbers to DASI’s global customer base.

Spirit, Safran Renew A320 Wheel And Brake Collaboration

Spirit Airlines and Safran Landing Systems renewed their long-term agreement covering supply and MRO of wheels and carbon brakes for Spirit’s Airbus A320 fleet. The deal includes both in-service A320ceos and A320neos, as well as future deliveries. Safran will provide maintenance services through its wheels and brakes services network in Florida, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Texas and Wisconsin.

Republic Taps Safran For Nacelle Services

Republic Airways signed an agreement with Safran Nacelles covering maintenance and spare parts support of thrust reversers on more than 200 of its Embraer 170 and 175 aircraft. Under the deal, the Safran Nacelles Services Americas MRO station in Indianapolis will provide maintenance and repair services for the thrust reverser and aft core bowl, including newly developed repair capabilities on the transcowl.

LATAM Opts For Aviatar

LATAM Airlines Group signed up for Lufthansa Technik’s Aviatar platform, including its Predictive Health Analytics and Electronic Technical Logbook applications. LATAM will implement Aviatar across its Airbus A320, Boeing 777 and Boeing 787 fleets.

Bonus Tech Gets Part 145 Approval, Opens Miami Operations

Engine teardown specialist Bonus Tech announced that it has achieved FAA Part 145 certification. The AFI KLM E&M subsidiary says the certification coincides with its strategic expansion of services through the establishment of sister company Bonus Tech Services (BTS) in Miami. BTS’s strategic roadmap will focus on enhanced services for engines, modules and parts, including quick engine change inventory, inspections, and tagging of serviceable modules and parts.

AerFin, Iberia Maintenance Sign Cooperation Deals

AerFin and Iberia Maintenance signed a strategic repair services agreement covering used serviceable material. They also signed a memorandum of understanding to explore broader collaboration opportunities across their business lines and the wider International Airlines Group.

IAC Plans New Amarillo Hangar

International Aerospace Coatings (IAC) announced plans to build a new widebody hangar at Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport in Texas. The hangar, which is expected to open in the second half of 2026, will create 65 new jobs and expand IAC’s footprint at the airport to six hangars.
