LE BOURGET—MHS Aviation, a German business aircraft operator specializing in aircraft management, has here signed an order for a Dassault Falcon 2000LXS business jet.

The 10-seat-class aircraft will join MHS Aviation's two Falcon 2000LXs, which are part of a 13-strong fleet.

The Falcon 2000LXS will be delivered in the second quarter of 2025. Purchased by MHS Aviation's shareholders, it is expected to fly around 900 hr. per year, as its two siblings.

“Our Falcon 2000LX/LXS are the backbone of our fleet,” says Steffen Fries, CEO of MHS Aviation Group. MHS uses its Falcon 2000LXs for flights to the Middle East, North Africa (such as Algeria), central Europe and North America. The average ratio of more than four flight hours per landing reflects the utilization in long flights.

“Each aircraft flies once per week to North America,” Fries says. “And our longest flight lasted 9 hr. 46 min.”

A notable feature of the 4,000-nm-range Falcon 2000LXS is in passenger comfort. Despite being a smaller than the the higher-end Falcon 7X, at a width of 7 ft. 8 in. the Falcon 2000 series' cabin is just as wide. The Falcon 2000 series is Dassault Aviation's most popular jet, at nearly 700 delivered.

In 2022, Austria's Elangeni joined the MHS Aviation group, thus bringing an Austrian air operator’s certificate to the company.
