Senate Commerce Committee approves amendment to the Fastener Quality Act

Senate Commerce Committee has approved an amendment to the Fastener Quality Act that recognizes FAA as the sole oversight authority for aviation fasteners. FAA was concerned the redundancy of the act could undermine safety, said Ed Bolen, president of the General Aviation Manufacturers Association.
