Caption: In 1959, Northeast Airlines operated its first pure jet service using Boeing 707 "Intercontinental" jet liners. Northeast was the first airline to fly these high speed
craft between Miami and New York and had the distinction of being one of the first
airlines in the United States to offer pure jet service.
