Stanley Black and Decker’s fluorescent tool range allows visual detection of tools in dark or black areas using a UV lamp. It offers increased tool visibility and comprehensive product range meeting most common applications. (Photo Credit: Stanley Black and Decker)
airberlin
Airberlin’s CCSS, Cargo Compartment Surveillance System, enables the detection of unauthorized access--as well as prevention and evidence of theft during the loading procedures and ground time. Load displacements or smoke emission can be identified by FTI’s intelligent camera technology. Using sensors and infrared illumination, a clear image reproduction is possible even in the dark. Clayton Associates
The Rhino composite repair kit is a featured work center that includes tools and consumables to complete aircraft structural or composite repairs. Tool control is provided with laser cut foam. The side doors swing 180° to support the hinged cover, revealing a spacious 10-ft. work surface covered in a self-healing cutting mat, surrounded by a border of cork to protect cutting tool blades. A retractable 50-ft. electrical cord provides power to the kit’s internal and external charging stations. Commercial airlines are using it to support the new breed of composite aircraft such as the Boeing 787. (Photo Credit: Clayton Associates)
DolphiCam
DolphiCam is a mobile and ergonomic ultrasound camera system designed for NDT inspection of carbon fiber reinforced plastics up to 16mm thickness. A unique transducer technology with signaling electronics creates high-resolution 2D and 3D images of damaged areas, which helps manufactures and MROs perform quality assurance and develop repair strategies. BuildAir
Buildair creates large inflatable structures including MRO hangars, warehouses and domes. The inflatable structures and hangars are safe, portable and modular. Completely waterproof, they are resistant to heavy snow loads or strong winds pressures, and can be controlled on line by means of an automatic control system, which continuously monitors all the operating parameters. Snap-on Tools International
Tool control systems from Snap-on Tool International control tool losses and replacement cost. The systems aid in identifying foreign object damage and reducing lost-tool downtime. (Photo Credit: Snap-on Tools International)
Eirtech Aviation Services
Eirtech Aviation developed an inseat USB power solution to retrofit existing seats. The solution helps airlines meet passengers’ need to charge their portable electronic devices during flight. (Photo Credit: Eirtech Aviation Services)
Diehl Aerosystems
High-lift control system by Diehl Aerospace consists of two computers, one flaps lever and associated sensors in the wings. The slat flap control computer controls and monitors the slats and flaps during takeoff and landing. This is realized by activation, control and monitoring of the actuators that move the slats and flaps. The flaps lever in the cockpit is the man-machine interface of the system. The A350 XWB features new actuators and position sensors that enable the independent positioning of the various flaps segments. (Photo Credit: Diehl Aerosystems)
