North America Leads Next Decade’s Global MRO Demand
Boeing aircraft will account for more than 38% of worldwide commercial aviation MRO visits.

Global commercial aviation MRO visits are expected to exceed 234,000 over the next decade, according to Aviation Week’s 2023 Commercial Fleet & MRO Forecast. North America is projected to account for 27%, followed by Western Europe (18%) and the Asia-Pacific region (16%).
Boeing-manufactured aircraft likely will account for more than 38% of these visits, followed closely by Airbus-manufactured aircraft at 37% of visits.
The forecast projects that narrowbody aircraft will be responsible for the majority of global commercial MRO visits, capturing 52% of the total, followed by widebody aircraft at 23% and regional jets at 13%.
