Global Regulatory Update, Oct. 14-20, 2018

EASA has issued proposed airworthiness directive 18-136 for Saab 2000s, requiring modification of autopilot disconnect logic, effective 14 days after airworthiness directive is issued.

 

EASA has issued airworthiness directive 2018-0216 for CFMI Leap-1s, requiring replacement of full authority digital electronic control software, effective October 22, 2018.

EASA has issued airworthiness directive 2018-0215 for Airbus A380-841s, A380-842s and A380-861s, amending aircraft flight manual for fuel quantity indication system procedure, effective October 19, 2018.

 

EASA has issued airworthiness directive 2018-0217 for Pilatus PC-6s Stabilizers, requiring inspection of horizontal stabilizer hinge bracket assembly and front spar attachment area, effective October 24, 2018.

EASA has issued proposed airworthiness directive 18-137 for Trig Avionics transponders, requiring inspection and modification, effective 14 days after airworthiness directive is issued.

 

EASA has issued airworthiness directive 2018-0218 for Airbus A320 family, requiring inspection of center and outer wing box at level of rib 1 junction, effective October 25, 2018.

EASA has issued proposed airworthiness directive 18-138 for Airbus A380-841s, A380-842s and A380-861s, requiring inspection of movable flap track fairing number 2 u-frame bolt-nut couples, effective 14 days after airworthiness directive is issued.

FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2018-19-07 for all Airbus A300s and A300-600s, requiring replacement of a certain parking brake operated valve with a different one, effective November 13, 2018.

 

FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2018-19-15 for certain Geven Type D1-02 and D1-03 seat assemblies, requiring inspection, torque verification and modification of certain model seats, effective November 14, 2018.

FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2018-19-22 for all General Electric CF34-10A16s, CF34-10E2A1s, CF34-10E5s, CF34-10E5A1s, CF34-10E6s, CF34-10E6A1s, CF34-10E7s and CF34-10E7-Bs with certain high-pressure turbine front rotating air seals, requiring replacement of affected seals, effective October 25, 2018.

FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2018-19-16 for all CFM International LEAP-1A23s, -1A24s, -1A24E1s, -1A26s, -1A26E1s, -1A26CJs, -1A29s, -1A29CJs, -1A30s, -1A32s, -1A33s, -1A33B2s and -1A35As with certain full authority digital engine control and prognostic health monitoring software installed, requiring removing certain software and installing versions eligible for installation, effective October 25, 2018.

FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2018-20-10 for all Airbus A350-941s, requiring a detailed visual inspection for any deficiency of the frame forks around the hook bolt hole on certain forward and aft cargo doors and applicable corrective actions, November 15, 2018.

FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2018-20-13 for all Boeing 737s, excluding 737-100s, -200s, -200Cs, -300s, -400s and -500s, and  757-200s, -200PFs, -200CBs and -300s, and all 767-200s, -300s, -300Fs and -400ERs, requiring replacing certain motor-operated valve actuators of the fuel shutoff valves for the left and right engines and actuators of the auxiliary power unit fuel shutoff valve on 757s and 767s and revising the maintenance or inspection program to incorporate certain airworthiness limitations, effective November 15, 2018.

TC has issued airworthiness directive CF-2018-25 for Bombardier CRJ 705s, CRJ 900s and CRJ 1000s, requiring, within 8,800 hours air time from the effective date, removing and discarding AFT fuselage fittings not heat treated and replacing with new heat treated AFT fuselage fittings, effective October 17, 2018.
