Global Regulatory Update, June 27-July 3, 2021

EASA has issued airworthiness directive 2021-0146 for Rolls-Royce Deutschland Trent 1000s, requiring inspection of high pressure turbine disc, effective June 25, 2021.

EASA has issued proposed airworthiness directive 21-089 for Airbus A330-243s, -322s and -343s with Elbe Flugzeugwerke supplemental type certificates, requiring inspection and replacement of courier area oxygen distribution system flexible hoses, effective 14 days after airworthiness directive is issued.
EASA has issued airworthiness directive 2021-0147 for Airbus A380-841s, -842s and -861s, amending time limits and maintenance checks under damage tolerant airworthiness limitation items, airworthiness limitations section part 2, effective July 5, 2021.

EASA has issued proposed airworthiness directive 21-090 for Airbus A320 family, requiring inspection of inner cap and frame flange at frame 68 stringer 22, effective 14 days after airworthiness directive is issued.
EASA has issued airworthiness directive 2021-0150 for Airbus A320 family, amending aircraft flight manual section on normal procedures and master minimum equipment list on integrated standby instrument system, effective June 28, 2021.

EASA has issued safety information bulletin 2021-03R1 on loss of air traffic control tracking on Boeing 787s in European airspace.
FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2021-10-07 for certain Boeing 737-8 and 737-9 MAXs, requiring a revision of the existing maintenance or inspection program to incorporate three additional certification maintenance requirements, effective July 8, 2021.

FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2021-12-13 for certain Boeing 737-8s and 737-9s, requiring installing a new fuel quantity processor unit and doing a software check on the unit, effective July 29, 2021.
FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2021-10-12 for certain Airbus A350-941s and -1041s, requiring revising the existing airplane flight manual to define a liquid-prohibited zone on the flight deck and provide procedures following liquid spillage on the center pedestal, and installing a removable integrated control panel cover on the flight deck and further revising the flight manual to include instructions for panel cover use, plus installing a new, water-resistant panel, which allows removing the panel protective cover and the manual revisions, effective July 29, 2021.
FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2021-12-12 for all Boeing 717-200s, requiring a one-time inspection of the left- and right-wing inboard and outboard spoiler assemblies for the correct configuration of the splice bar and doublers, and repair or replacement if necessary, effective July 29, 2021.

FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2021-09-11 for all Saab 2000s, requiring modifying the main landing gear hydraulic transfer valve, effective July 29, 2021.
FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2021-12-04 for all Fokker F28 Mark 0070s and 0100s, requiring doing a detailed visual inspection to detect any bulging, loose and missing countersunk fastener heads at the left- and right-hand outer wing lower skin of the front spar between certain wing stations, and applicable on-condition actions, effective July 9, 2021.
FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2021-10-11 for all Boeing 737-100s, -200s, -200Cs, -300s, -400s and -500s, requiring repetitive surface high frequency eddy current inspections at the radius of the left- and right-side of the station 540 bulkhead splice angle for any cracking, and applicable on-condition actions, effective July 29, 2021.
FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2021-12-11 for certain Boeing 767-200s and -300s, requiring replacing the cargo compartment insulation blankets on the left and right sides with new insulation blankets that incorporate fire stops and a general visual inspection of the replacement insulation blankets to determine if the blankets are in serviceable condition and correctly installed, and applicable on-condition actions, plus, for certain airplanes, an inspection to determine the insulation blanket part number installed, effective July 29, 2021.
