FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2018-04-03 for certain Fokker F28 Mark 0100s, requiring a general visual inspection of the nose landing gear handle teleflex cable conduit connector for the presence of a grease nipple, a maintenance records check of affected airplanes, a detailed inspection for corrosion and damage of the gear handle teleflex cable and corrective actions if necessary, effective March 30.
FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2018-04-07 for all Boeing 747-100s, 747-100Bs, 747-100B SUDs, 747-200Bs, 747-200Cs, 747-200Fs, 747-300s, 747-400s, 747-400Ds, 747-400Fs, 747SRs and 747SPs, requiring revising the maintenance or inspection program, as applicable, to include inspections that will give no less than the required damage tolerance rating for certain structural significant items, performing repetitive inspections to detect cracks of all these items, repairing cracked structures if necessary and reporting cracks to Boeing, effective March 30.
