Regio Lease, a specialist in consulting and airworthiness management, has confirmed its acquisition of engine borescope and blending repair company Savina Technic.

The new acquisition announced last week will see Regio Lease add Savina’s capabilities to its existing offering. These incude borescope and blending repairs, along with auxiliary power unit and specialist airframe services.

Savina Technic works with MROs, airlines and lessors on both planned or unplanned maintenance tasks, transfer of asset ownership, storage and destocking, and acquisition and sales. Engines covered by its boro blending and fan blade repairs include the CFM56, V2500, PW100, CF6 and Trent 700.

The companies have worked together for several years, and Regio Lease says the opportunity to buy the business, based in Argy, Central France around 16 miles northwest of Chateauroux, had been ongoing for more than one year.

“This acquisition was important to us, because of the Savina Technic skills and the confidence we have in the quality of its work,” says Laurent le Minh Loc, president of Regio Lease. “The acquisition of Savina Technic ends a year that was certainly complicated for the aeronautics sector but also a source of development for us.”

Savina Technic was founded in 2011 by Thibault Savina, who says the new partnership will ensure its sustainability and development.

The acquisition continues Regio Lease's growth, with the company turning over €6 million ($7.2 million) in 2020.
