Coopesa’s hangars date back to the early 1960s. The MRO formed in 1963.

Coopesa plans to move to the southwest part of Juan Santamaria International Airport. The move has been planned for years, but the project was halted several times. However, it looks like it will proceed now—ground preparation and building permits are scheduled for 2024.
