AvSight
After a soft release in January with a small subset of customers, AvSight is releasing its cloud software platform to the rest of the aviation aftermarket. Created by former Kellstrom and Aeroturbine CIO Scott Loescher, AvSight is built on the Salesforce platform with a wide variety of functionality for inventory management, vendor quoting, managing work orders and labor, accounting and more. Loescher says the platform is unique because he was able to build it from scratch using his insights from the industry and newer available technologies, such as AI and blockchain. Once AvSight gains traction, Loescher says the next big focus will be embedding intelligence and machine learning into the system.

Acumain
Developed by consulting firm accelean in response to recurring repair shop issues they noticed with customers, Acumain is a software platform for planning, scheduling and production control that can be plugged into all major enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms. Acumain was first released on the European market last year with customers including Air France KLM Group, and now the software is being released to the North American market.

Carron says Acumain’s proven benefits include delivering improved turnaround time (TAT) performance, better utilization of assets and additional revenue opportunities thanks to more efficiently used resources.
