Ametek Singapore PTE Appointed As Honeywell Authorized Repair Center
Honeywell has appointed Ametek Singapore PTE as a Honeywell authorized repair center for components on CF6-80, PW2000, PW4000, V2500, Trent 700, Trent 800 and Trent 900 engines. Ametek Singapore PTE says the agreement will strengthen its presence in the Asia-Pacific market.

Air Canada Upgrading A321-family Connectivity
Air Canada has selected Intelsat’s 2ku satellite connectivity solution to upgrade its Airbus A321ceo and upcoming A321XLR fleet. The retrofit installations on its 15 A321ceos will take place in Canada in early 2023 while the 2Ku satellite connectivity solution will be installed on the Airbus production line.

FL Technics Wheels & Brakes Appoints New COO
FL Technics Wheels & Brakes has appointed David Kahl as its new COO in Hanover. Kahl comes to FL Technics from Lufthansa Technik, where he managed establishment of a Wheels Shop and product sales for wheels and brakes services. He will help FL Technics grow and expand the new Wheels & Brakes business.

Eurowings Installs IFE System for Testing
Eurowings Discover has partnered with AERQ to install its AERENA open IT platform, which provides inflight entertainment both in-seat and through personal electronic devices. The system will initially be installed on one Airbus A320 next year for testing.

TAE Aerospace Acquires Southwest Airmotive
TAE Aerospace has purchased Southwest Airmotive Corporation (SWA), an Arizona-based MRO specialized in Pratt & Whitney PT-6 engines. It says SWA will continue to operate under its own branding with the same staff, equipment and inventory.

AFI KLM E&M Expects Cabin Mods Ramp-Up
AFI KLM E&M has reported that is experiencing an increase in requests and inquiries related to cabin modification services now that airlines are re-establishing cash flow. It expects a spike in cabin redesign projects over the next two years.

FL Technics Names COO For Wheels & Brakes
Business Lithuanian MRO provider FL Technics has appointed David Kahl as COO of its’ Wheels & Brakes business in Hanover. The company announced the formation of the new division in April.

TAT Technologies Signs Airline APU Contract
TAT Technologies has signed a $50 million, five-year contract to support an unnamed airline with APU MRO services. It will provide MRO support via its subsidiary Piedmont.

Duncan Aviation Becomes Saft Authorized Service Center
Duncan Aviation’s MRO facilities in Battle Creek, Michigan; Lincoln, Nebraska; and Provo, Utah have been named as authorized service centers for Saft America. It now has access to tech data, manuals and parts directly from Saft to provide warranty, inspection, repair, overhaul and AOG services for Saft NiCad and lithium-ion batteries.
